Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Netwise Media SRL (“Lento”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the Lento mobile application and website (the “Service”). We are the data controller for the purposes of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). By using Lento you agree to this policy.

1. Information we collect

Information you provide

• Account data: your email address (used to sign in and secure your account).
• Meal logs: the foods you log as text, the calorie and macro estimates, meal names, and optional notes or mood tags.
• Meal photos: if you log by photo, the image you capture or upload.
• Voice input: if you log by voice, your device transcribes your speech to text; we receive the resulting text, not the audio.
• Health & body data: optional figures you enter such as weight, height, age, sex, activity level, calorie/macro goals, and fasting preferences.
• Barcodes: barcode numbers you scan, used to look up product nutrition.

Information collected automatically

• Basic technical data needed to operate the app (e.g. authentication tokens, app version, and error logs). Lento does not use third-party advertising or tracking SDKs.

2. How we use your information

• To provide the core service: estimating calories/macros and saving your meal journal.
• To personalize your goals, targets, and fasting timers.
• To keep your history and show your trends, streaks, and reviews.
• To maintain, secure, and improve the Service and fix bugs.
• To communicate with you about the Service (e.g. account or support emails).

3. AI processing

To estimate nutrition, the meal text and/or photo you submit is sent to our AI provider, Anthropic (Claude), through our secure backend. This data is processed solely to generate your estimate and is not used by us to train AI models. We send only what is needed for the estimate.

4. Service providers we share data with

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with providers that help us run the Service:

• Supabase — secure database, authentication, and photo storage (hosting our backend).
• Anthropic — AI nutrition analysis (see section 3).
• Open Food Facts — barcode lookups; when you scan a barcode, the barcode number is sent to retrieve public product data.
• Speech recognition — voice transcription is performed by your device's operating system (Apple/Google); their handling is governed by their own policies.

5. Data retention

We keep your account and logged data for as long as your account is active. You can delete individual entries at any time, and you can delete your entire account, which permanently removes your data from our systems (subject to limited legal or backup retention).

6. Your rights

Under the GDPR and similar laws you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate data.
• Delete your data (“right to be forgotten”).
• Export your data (portability).
• Object to or restrict certain processing.

You can delete your account and data from within the app (Settings → Delete account) or by emailing us at privacy@lento.fit. EU residents may also lodge a complaint with their national data protection authority.

7. Security

Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) and stored on access-controlled infrastructure. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.

8. Children

Lento is not intended for children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

9. International transfers

Your data may be processed on servers located outside your country (including the United States, where some of our providers operate). Where required, such transfers are protected by appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.

10. Not medical advice

Lento provides estimates for general wellness and informational purposes only. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Consult a qualified professional before making health decisions.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will revise the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, notify you in the app.
